[NEWS]THE EXPANSION OF OUR EXCAVATOR RANGE
THE BIGGER, BADDER, BETTER GENERATION OF EXCAVATORS: SY265C & SY356C
In the last couple of years, excavators have truly become a hot item in the Australian construction industry. With a range of possibilities available, these excavators have become a staple piece of equipment in the construction market. Ranging from mini to large in size, excavators have been designed to assist with all your earthmoving and material handling needs.
With this ever-growing market, there has been an increase in new technology and features for excavators. As a result, Preston Hire has recently expanded their SuperCivil fleet.
We are proud to announce the launch of the SY265C and SY365C into our fleet. These machines are both part of our large excavator range, and tick all the boxes for quality, technology, safety and efficiency.

This robust and reliable machine has been designed to tackle tough construction conditions while still wielding high precision and power. Although some may question its stability due to the enormous size of this machine, the undercarriage and solid boom ensures an exemplary level of reliability.
With a massive operating weight of 27,000 kg, this mighty machine provides a massive swing speed of 10.6 rpm, with a 142-kW engine power per 2000 rpm. The SY265C works efficiently with massive operating power.
Perfect for an array of needs, this machine is great for high precision jobs and all earthmoving requirements.
Designed to deliver performance in any climate, terrain, or environment, the SY365C has been built tough to ensure continuous performance for all your construction needs.
With a massive operating weight of 36,000 kg, this mighty machine provides a massive swing speed of 9.5 rpm, with a 212-kW engine power per 2000 rpm. There is no doubt that this machine can handle an array of construction requirements; in particular, earthmoving, demolition or roadbuilding jobs can be completed efficiently and with ease. With its large operating mass, it is no secret that this machine has been built to last and handle the toughest of environments and tasks.
Being the largest excavator in our fleet, this excavator provides worksites with reliability, power, efficiency, and versatility not available from other machines.
To commemorate our fleet expansion and two of our hard-working employees, the SY265C and SY365C have been dedicated to our remarkable staff members Andrew Demos and Jason Green. These machines have been given the role of living up to these two determined and exceptional workers, who truly bleed Yellow.
Our very own Mr. Health and Safety, Andrew Demos, started at Preston Hire in 2019 as a Work Health and Safety Coordinator and has been safely holding us together ever since. His commitment to the safety of his peers and people in general has been absolutely impressive to see. He has truly become an anchor in the Preston Hire family, and we are proud to see the SY265C being named after someone so extraordinary at all he does.
Jason Green has been labelled the ‘excavator king’ at both Preston Hire and YELLO Equipment™. He is our go to man for all things excavators with his extensive experience surrounding construction equipment, particularly the big wide world of excavators. He commenced at Preston Hire in 2021 and over the years has showcased his unmatchable daily commitment to the team and our customers. The SY365C is no stranger to strength, and neither is Jason. We are proud to name this phenomenal machine after such a phenomenal person.
We know these machines will live up to their namesake, and for this reason we are excited to introduce them to our SuperCivil fleet.
