Geordie Hutchinson – 10 Years of Service
Big congratulations are in order for Geordie Hutchinson from our Western Australia branch who celebrates 10 years of service this month!
Geordie began his journey with Preston Hire on 20 May 2014. The WA branch was just being established at this time, and Geordie was instrumental in educating the new market on the plethora of benefits offered by our SuperDeck® and SuperCrane™ fleets. Over the past decade, Geordie’s seen PHW grow from strength to strength and lost count of the number of SuperDecks he’s installed or cranes he’s delivered to site during this time.
A ‘jack of all trades’, Geordie enjoys the versatility his role offers him. He’s not only a Workshop Supervisor and Crane Driver, but a Rigger and Truck Driver too! His day-to-day tasks comprise of carrying out the pre-hire and de-hire of all machines, installing SuperDecks on site, measuring jobs for clients, rigging, crane driving and truck driving, as well as meeting with major builders/clients.
Not only does Geordie embody the “Count on us” creed for our clients, but for his team members too. Affectionately known as the “Count on us guy”, the tight-knit WA team know they can rely on him to solve any issues that arise.
Outside of work, you’ll find Geordie spending quality time with his family and friends. Weekends often involve ferrying his two kids to and from their local sporting matches, fishing, enjoying trips away, cheering on his footy (AFL) team, or pursuing his passion for cars.
A small team doing a big job in Perth, Geordie is excited for the future of PHW. With many construction projects coming up, and the city continuing to expand, he’s looking forward to what the next 10 years will bring.
